COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT POLICY

Veterinarians and Brand Specialists who have a customized page on the VetAffiliate website are required to respect the legal protection provided by copyright and trademark law. Pictures, logos, mascots, and other items posted on the VetAffiliate website by an organization or agent must be owned or validly licensed by the poster.

If you believe that material has been posted on the VetAffiliate website that infringes your copyright or trademark, you should follow the following notification procedure:

Notification Procedures

You must provide written notice to the post office address or e-mail address above, including:

  1. A description of the posted material you claim to be infringing your copyright or trademark.
  2. A description of where the material that you claim to be infringing is located on the site, including the name of the organization or agent sponsoring the page on which the material is posted.
  3. Your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
  4. A statement by you of the basis of your claim, including any registrations of copyrights or trademarks to support your claim.
  5. Your electronic or physical signature.

Take-Down Procedures

If the claim is for copyright infringement, VetAffiliate will follow the procedures outlined in Title II of the Digital Millennial Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If VetAffiliate is notified of a credible infringement claim, it will respond expeditiously by removing or disabling access to the material that is potentially infringing. The Veterinarian or Brand Specialist whose page is affected will be immediately notified of the infringement claim and take-down of the material in question. VetAffiliate will not allow any material to remain posted that is the subject of a known infringement dispute or claim. All users of the VetAffiliate site agree that VetAffiliate will incur no liability in connection with the take-down of material from a site.
